What FoundingTimes Is
A public reading and consulting room for the founding record — the Declaration, the Articles, the Constitution as ratified, the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers, Madison's Notes, and the correspondence of the framers. Nothing later. Not a lobbying group. Not a policy shop. Just the original text and the original arguments, made searchable and consultable by anyone with a question.
Every question asked of the record becomes part of the public Question Bank — a growing archive that any visitor can search. Sign the Declaration and your name joins the numbered Roll of Signatories, permanently and publicly.
The site is free. No membership, no subscription, no wallet, nothing to buy. Its costs are paid by the founder so that the founding record stays open to anyone who wants to read it.
How It Works
- Ask. Type a question. The system answers only from founding-era records with period-style citations.
- Sign. Add your name to the permanent Roll. It takes a moment and costs nothing.
- Search. Every answered question is browsable in the public Question Bank. Use the search box like Cmd + F on your keyboard.
- Never twice. If someone has already asked your question, you are sent straight to that record in the Bank instead of a fresh answer — the same citations, and no cost to ask.
- Belong. The Founders' Room is open to everyone: convention days, the dissenters, the Federalist ↔ Constitution walk-through.
Why "Peaceful, Purposeful, People"
Peaceful. No violence. No coercion. The record is read, discussed, and cited. Anyone who wants to argue with it is welcome to argue with the text itself.
Purposeful. Every question has a use. Each one is preserved in the Bank with its citations, so an answer is written once and belongs to everybody afterward. The servers, the archive, and the AI are paid for by the founder, not by the reader.
People. We the People. Not corporations. Not parties. Not a class. The Roll is public because the signatories are public, and every question is on the record.
